| Different
modes
There are the
following modes of operation: MANIPULATION, SIMULATION and REAL TIME.
| |
| Off |
The real time system
of MPC Solution stops. After the plant is stopped, no
mode can be selected for 8 sec. The icons Start, Stop, Simulation and Manipulation are
deactivated within this time.
| Manipulation
mode
The program does not work in manipulation mode,
because this feature is designed to set output channels by hand, and read
(check) input channels. This is very helpful when checking acuators and sensors
in the first test run of the switchgear. Manipulation mode allows direct access
to hardware and to the elements of data, which are usually hidden in the
production process. For example values of output channels whose results
normally are set by the program. This makes the hardware check easier.

| Simulation
mode
In the simulation
mode, an MPC Solution program can also be tested without attached hardware. The
simulation mode is made for the off-line test by the programmer. Here he can
switch the sensor technology without the machine. The program supplies the
output signals corresponding. This way a program test without machine is made
possible.

| Real
time
In real time state the program, the sensor
technology and the actuating elements are working. Of course, most program
modifications are also possible online.
